FDA U.S. Food & Drug Administration
FDA stands for the Food and Drug Administration, a government agency responsible for the safety of food, dietary supplements, human drugs, vaccines, blood products and other biologicals, medical devices, radiation-emitting electronics, cosmetics, veterinarian products and tobacco products being sold or manufactured in the United States. The FDA also inspects and enforces regulations related to these industries. Organizations that manufacture, re-pack or re-label products in the aforementioned industries must register with the FDA, with the exception of cosmetics, where registration is voluntary.

Good Manufacturing Practices
A Good Manufacturing Practices or GMP certification scheme provides independent verification and certification that the basic manufacturing practices and prerequisites necessary for the implementation of an effective Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) food safety program are being followed.

The RIBUS Certified Contract Manufacturer Program (CCM) is designed to recognize and support contract manufacturers that have demonstrated the ability to produce tablets and capsules using products from the RIBUS portfolio (Nu-FLOW, Nu-RICE, Nu-MAG or Nu-BIND) that are functional, rice-derived alternatives to ingredients like Silicon Dioxide and Mg Stearate.
